Walton Luttrell, 1976-1977

Walton Luttrell was a World War II Army veteran and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from the Kentucky Department of Education as a division director. He was a former teacher at Hiseville School, was former Barren County School superintendent and was instrumental in the construction of the new Edmonson County High School.  He received a bachelor of science degree from WKU in 1950 and a master of science degree from UK in 1958. He taught vocational agriculture in Barren County Schools for 14 years, was assistant superintendent and superintendent of Barren County Schools for 5 years, and was employed by KDE for 15 years.  He retired from KDE in 1983.
