L. E. Wilson, 1970-1971

In 1975, Lacy Edward Wilson retired as assistant superintendent of Daviess County Public Schools—a position that he had
held since 1950.  A native of Trigg County, he taught at Hawesville High School from 1937 to 1939, when he became principal of Stanley Elementary School in Daviess County.  He later served five years as principal of Sorgho Elementary School, leaving in 1950 to become assistant superintendent.  He served in an Air Force communications center in Maine during World War II. He received a bachelor of arts degree from WKU and a master’s degree in school administration from UK in 1937. In addition to being a charter member and president of KASBO, he was president of the Kentucky Ornithological Society.
